Desert Essentials
Inspired by the quieter side of Utah’s landscape, Desert Essentials brings together eight grounded, wearable colorways drawn from shadowed junipers, desert plants, weathered canyon walls, volcanic stone, mountain snow, and the soft colors of dusk.

Designed as the versatile companion to Desert After Dark, this collection captures the foundational colors of the Utah landscape. Earthy warmth, smoky greens, soft rose, mineral-inspired neutrals, dusky purples, and cool mountain tones create a cohesive palette that is easy to wear and effortless to combine.
Every colorway can stand beautifully on its own or be mixed with others for colorwork, stripes, fades, and larger projects. They also coordinate naturally with the richer, more dramatic shades of Desert After Dark.
Each skein is dyed by hand in small batches by Doodle Bug Yarn Co. Slight variations are part of the beauty of hand-dyed yarn and make every skein uniquely yours. When using more than one skein of the same colorway, alternating skeins is recommended for the most even color distribution.
