Terms of Service

Overview

This website is operated by Doodle Bug Yarn Co. Throughout these Terms of Service, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Doodle Bug Yarn Co.

By visiting our website, purchasing a product, booking a service, or otherwise using the website, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the website or placing an order.

These Terms apply to all visitors and customers. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

Eligibility and Account Information

By using this website or placing an order, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction or that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate information when placing an order or creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

Products and Product Information

We make every reasonable effort to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colors may appear differently depending on lighting, photography, screen settings, dye lots, and the materials being photographed.

Hand-dyed yarn and handmade goods naturally contain variations. Differences in color placement, speckling, stitch placement, dimensions, texture, or appearance are part of the handmade process and are not considered defects.

Product measurements and yardage are approximate unless otherwise stated. Yarn weight and yardage may vary slightly because of normal differences in fiber, moisture, manufacturing, dyeing, and measurement.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue products, colorways, services, prices, or availability at any time. Limited-edition and small-batch products may not be restocked.

Orders and Availability

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may decline, limit, or cancel an order because of inventory errors, pricing errors, suspected fraud, payment issues, shipping restrictions, or other reasonable business concerns.

If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will refund the canceled amount to the original payment method.

Products placed in a shopping cart are not reserved until checkout is completed. Because many products are one of a kind or made in limited quantities, an item may become unavailable before an order is completed.

Pricing, Payment, and Taxes

Prices are displayed in the currency indicated on the website and may change without notice. The price charged is the price displayed when the order is submitted, except in the case of an obvious pricing or technical error.

Payment must be completed through one of the payment methods available at checkout. You authorize us and our payment providers to charge the amount shown at checkout, including applicable shipping charges and taxes.

Applicable sales tax is calculated based on the order and delivery information provided at checkout. Customers are responsible for any taxes, duties, customs charges, or other fees that are not collected during checkout.

Made-to-Order and Personalized Products

Made-to-order and personalized items are created specifically for the customer. The customer is responsible for providing accurate color, size, measurement, and design information.

Colors may appear differently between screens, fibers, dye lots, and finished materials. Handmade sizing may also vary slightly from listed measurements.

Changes requested after materials have been purchased or work has begun may not be possible and may require additional charges or an adjusted completion date.

Made-to-order, personalized, commissioned, and collaboration products are final sale except when they arrive damaged, defective, or materially different from the agreed order.

Fiber Collaborations and Commissions

Submitting a Fiber Collaboration Request does not create a contract or guarantee that a project will be accepted.

Collaboration and commissioned work begins only after the project scope, materials, pricing, timeline, payment terms, and other relevant details have been agreed upon. Additional written terms or an invoice may apply to individual projects. If those project-specific terms conflict with these general Terms of Service, the project-specific terms will control for that project.

Classes and Instruction

Class descriptions, schedules, included materials, prices, and participant requirements are provided in the applicable listing or booking information.

Participation in a class does not guarantee that a student will complete a particular project or achieve a particular skill level. Results depend on attendance, practice, materials, and individual learning pace.

Any patterns or instructional materials supplied for a class are for the participant’s personal use unless otherwise stated. They may not be copied, distributed, resold, published, or used for commercial instruction without permission from the applicable copyright owner.

Shipping and Delivery

Processing and delivery estimates are provided in our Shipping Policy and applicable product descriptions. Made-to-order products generally require additional processing time.

Carrier transit times are estimates unless the selected shipping service specifically includes a delivery guarantee. If we are unable to ship within the promised timeframe, we will contact you with an updated estimate and provide any cancellation or refund options required by applicable law.

Our Shipping Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service.

Returns, Refunds, and Cancellations

Return eligibility, final-sale exclusions, exchanges, refunds, and cancellation requirements are described in our Return and Refund Policy.

Our Return and Refund Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service. Nothing in these Terms limits a customer’s rights when an item is damaged, defective, incorrect, or otherwise protected by applicable law.

Product Use and Care

Customers are responsible for reviewing and following all product descriptions, care instructions, fiber information, sizing information, and safety notices.

Fiber products may cause reactions in individuals with wool, animal-fiber, dye, fragrance, or other sensitivities. Please review the listed materials before purchasing and contact us if you have questions.

Handmade plushies and accessories may contain small parts, safety eyes, fasteners, fibers, or other components that may not be suitable for infants, young children, or pets. Unless a product is specifically described as appropriate for unsupervised child or infant use, it should be treated as a decorative or collectible item and used with appropriate supervision.

Doodle Bug Yarn Co. is not responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper care, failure to follow instructions, normal wear, or modification of a product.

Intellectual Property

The website and its original content—including business names, logos, photographs, graphics, product descriptions, colorway names, written materials, and original designs—belong to Doodle Bug Yarn Co. or are used with permission.

You may not reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, modify, or commercially use our content without prior written permission.

Patterns and designs credited to independent designers remain the property of their respective copyright owners and are subject to the licenses provided by those designers. Purchasing a finished item does not transfer ownership of the underlying pattern, design, photographs, or other intellectual property.

Reviews and Submitted Content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment, testimonial, or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate another person’s rights.

You grant Doodle Bug Yarn Co. permission to display and use content intentionally submitted for review or promotional purposes in connection with our business. We will not claim ownership of your original content.

We may remove submitted content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringing, or unrelated to the product or service being reviewed.

Disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to keep website information accurate and the website available. However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from technical problems.

Except for rights and warranties that cannot legally be excluded, products and services are provided subject to the descriptions and policies displayed at the time of purchase. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any non-waivable consumer protection or warranty provided by applicable law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doodle Bug Yarn Co. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website or products.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses resulting from your unlawful misuse of the website, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another party’s rights.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted or removed as necessary. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.

No Waiver

If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as our business, products, services, or legal obligations change. The version posted on this website at the time of use will apply.

Continued use of the website after an updated version is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the State of Utah and the United States, without limiting any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived in the customer’s place of residence.
