About Doodle Bug Yarn Co
Doodle Bug Yarn Co. began with a lifelong love of fiber, color, and making something meaningful by hand. I’m Brie, the dyer and maker behind the business, and my fiber journey began when my grandmother taught me to knit at just four years old.
In 2020, that love grew into something much bigger when my mother-in-law, Lisa of Rockstar Alpaca Ranch, gave me an Ashford Joy spinning wheel. I began spinning yarn, exploring new fiber crafts, and eventually fell in love with hand-dyeing. What started as a creative outlet became Doodle Bug Yarn Co.—a place for thoughtfully made yarns with plenty of color and personality.
From my home in Eagle Mountain, Utah, I dye yarn in small batches on carefully selected bases chosen for their softness, texture, and performance. The small-batch process gives every skein its own subtle variations, making each one a little different and ready to inspire its next project. My family is part of the creative process too, often helping choose colors and bringing fresh ideas to custom orders.
Doodle Bug Yarn Co. is also home to Made by Brie, where yarn becomes finished pieces you can wear, carry, cuddle, and treasure. Through collaborations with local alpaca ranches and small fiber producers, I also help transform locally raised fiber and yarn into meaningful finished goods.
Whether you’re choosing yarn for your next cast-on, finding a handmade gift, or dreaming up a special collaboration, I hope you find something here that sparks your creativity.
Thank you for supporting small-batch yarn, local fiber, and handmade work.
